This means that your toddler is more susceptible to outside stimuli and foods that are ingested. Of course when we talk about wheat most times we mean the gluten, which is contained in the wheat. You have to beware of fish, honey and eggs. They are also danger foods because they can be a source of botulism which man make the adult ill but can be fatal in small children or toddler who has toddler allergies on food. An added problem is the vaccines that are grown in eggs and unwittingly given to a child with an allergy to eggs. There are other foods products that contain particles of foods that would be avoided if known for example many types of pasta are made with eggs as are cookies or biscuits- so you have to make a list of ingredients in all foods that come packaged and commercially produced.

Below are some foods that can be dangerous and that every child is different. So, you have to aware all these foods. Always use your own parental judgment when it comes to what you feed your toddler who has toddler allergies on food. This is just a general guideline for you to go buy.

  • Nuts. Nuts are hard and turn into small sharp bits when not chewed well, so I would advise you keep nuts away from your child’s diet until he is older.
  • Marshmallows. Marshmallows can stop up a toddler’s windpipe in a flash. If you must give him or her marshmallow, cut off very small pieces and be sure that they are totally dissolved before giving more. Better yet, don’t give them at all…marshmallows make very poor nourishment anyway.
  • Hard Candy. Hard candies are very dangerous. They can be breathed into the throat easily. They also have a tendency to slip down the throat while still too large to swallow. Don’t let it happen to your toddler.
  • Chewing gum. I would assume that no parent would give chewing gum to their toddler, however, it has happened and the results can be disastrous.
  • Raisins. Because of the toughness of raisins, they are often swallowed whole by even the older kids. For a toddler this can mean certain choking.

When introducing new food to babies and toddlers you need to be aware of the symptoms of allergies. This is particularly the case when parents or other members of the family have food allergies.

If you infer your toddler has toddler allergies on food, you have to keep a diet and symptom diary for the first step. You can write down everything that your child eats and drinks, and note down any symptom, as well as the quantity and time it took for the symptoms to occur.
