Toddler Potty Training Your Boy

- Does he walk yet? No point in starting potty training if he can not even walk

- Does the boy make any fuss when he wants to urinate like pulling his pants or grabbing his crotch?
- Can he focus? While this may not sound like big deal, toddler potty training does require some attention span.
- Is the child mentally stable? In general, children with mental disabilities take a lot longer to potty train than normal children
If the answers to these questions are YES, then one can start toddler potty training a toddler boy. On average, most boys learn to potty train around 2-2.5 years of age. The great thing about boys and potty training is that they love to be independent. No child learns potty training by himself. Never push the boy into peeing or pooping. Going to the bath room should never be felt as a punishment.
Most boys learn quickly and want to experiment. In fact, most boys learn to pee faster than popping. While there is no good reason which training is done first, whether potty or peeing, let it come naturally. The child should be accustomed to the bathroom.
